A young woman with long dark wavy hair and glasses smiling, sitting on a beige sofa crossed her arms, wearing a beige and white striped short-sleeve shirt and light blue pants, in a cozy living room with sunlight coming through two bright rectangular windows, a billiard table in the background, and a small round table with a plant on it to her right.

Hi, I’m Annia Ibarra
MS, LPC-A #102695, NCC.

I earned my Master of Science and Specialist in Education degrees (MS/Ed.S) in Clinical Mental Health from Florida State University and spent the earliest chapters of my career practicing in Georgia, working with people at just about every stage of life, from kids and teens to adults. Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), practicing under the clinical supervision of Laura Aguirre, LPC-S #76984.

From the very beginning of my career, I have been deeply dedicated to walking alongside Latino and Hispanic clients. Through my practice, I am committed to continuing this vital work, providing bilingual therapy (English/Spanish) that honors your unique cultural reality. Together, we create a safe space to navigate generational expectations, family scripts, and life transitions without you ever needing to explain away who you are.

In my practice, I specialize in looking at the whole picture of who you are, blending a compassionate look at the different parts of your internal world with the meaning you want to create in your life. We won’t just focus on coping with day-to-day symptoms; we will look beneath the surface to understand the protective behaviors and old wounds keeping you stuck so you can reclaim your purpose. This deeper approach allows us to untangle the intense questions of identity and transition that define adolescence, young adulthood, and the many new chapters of life.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are in your current season, ensuring you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. By blending evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a solution-focused lens, we’ll look at the automatic thought loops, behavioral patterns, and relational dynamics that might be keeping you stuck. Together, we will demystify the powerful connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, tap into your natural strengths, and build the actual, practical tools you need to respond differently to life's stressors and create lasting change.

Clinical Focus & Modalities

To give you an idea of what our sessions might look like, here are the common, heavy hurdles I walk through alongside my clients most often:

  • Anxiety & Panic: Dealing with chronic worry, social anxiety, panic attacks, or that constant, underlying sense of dread and sensory overload.

  • Pre-Teen & Adolescent Stress: Navigating school refusal, sudden behavior changes, intense emotional outbursts, and peer-related anxiety.

  • Complex Dynamics & Personality Hurdles: Managing intense mood swings, emotional dysregulation, chaotic relationships, and those frustrating, self-sabotaging patterns.

  • Relational Trauma & Burnout: Unpacking the weight of old family scripts, toxic relationship cycles, chronic people-pleasing, and the sheer exhaustion of major life transitions.

If you are feeling stuck in old patterns, exhausted by the pressure to have it all together, or just trying to navigate a major transition, I want you to know your feelings are completely valid. You don’t have to carry the weight of your history or the uncertainty of your future all by yourself. Wherever you are in your journey today, you don't have to navigate the path forward alone. Let’s work together to break the cycles that no longer serve you, and start rewriting your story in a way that feels truly yours.
